Senior Accountant

The Senior Accountant provides advanced financial support services and administers daily operations and activities of Arrow's financial administration, planning, and budgeting cycles under the direction of the Director of Finance. Responsibilities include 1) overseeing financial compliance and reporting, 2) supporting program and functional leadership in interpreting performance results, 3) assisting in activities related to the preparation of the annual operating budgets, and 4) other financial analyses as required by circumstances. This individual must be a highly organized, service oriented, and effective communicator. Technical writing skills and impact reporting competencies are required as well as extensive excel and analytical skills. This position is expected to work on multiple, concurrent tasks. Other duties may be assigned as necessary.

Responsibilities must be carried out in accordance with Arrow Child & Family Ministries Policies and Guidelines, Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), IRS Regulations, Uniform Grant Management Standards, Federal and State Laws. Position is privy to confidential information and must uphold client, staff, donor and other organizational confidentiality.

Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Accounting required with 5 years of progressive experience as a senior accountant, staff auditor, or similar role with exposure to all areas of financial operations, including systems and reporting, transaction-based operations processing and management, and project management and implementations. High emotional intelligence and experience working with vendors, auditors, and all levels of internal organization staff is required. Must have a heart for Arrow's mission of serving kids and strengthening families.


  • Valid driver's license
  • Proof of current Auto Registration, Inspection and Insurance
  • Driving Record (three years) from the state in which the driver's license is valid
  • Must submit to and pass a pre-employment drug test.
  • Must submit to and pass random drug tests during employment. 
  • Must successfully pass all background screens as required by the state.
  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
