Family Home Developer - Foster Parent Recruiter

As a Family Home Developer, you'll use your social work, networking and communication skills, and our marketing tool kit, to find potential foster families to join you for monthly orientation meetings.Your outgoing personality will be an asset in engaging and encouraging families to continue the process as you lead them through Arrow's pre-service training. Your organizational skills will aid families in meeting regulatory compliance for licensing. But it's your passion for kids and families that will be foundational in building the type of loving homes every foster child needs.

Essential duties and responsibilities may include the following:

  • Participate in the on-going recruitment and maintenance of foster/adoptive families.
  • Coordinate information requests from prospective foster parents and assure follow up with the request.
  • Assist with appropriate matching of prospective foster parents to Arrow and regulatory standards.
  • Attend special events in local communities as directed.
  • Assist in development of marketing and ministerial resource materials.
  • Development of recruitment activities to increase effectiveness of recruitment efforts.
  • Frequent evening and weekend recruiting activities are necessary for this effective recruitment.
  • Share/transmit the mission and vision of Arrow Child & Family Ministries to staff, clients and families served. Perform all duties within contract, state and federal regulations, Arrow policy, and COA standards.

Education, Licensure and/or Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, and at least one (1) year experience working with children and families
  • Master's Degree preferred
  • Board approved Social Work License required
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondences, and memos
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with superiors, colleagues, and individuals inside and outside the ministry
  • Ability to prepare written case documentation that becomes part of the clients' legal record
  • Ability to apply Critical thinking and sound decision making skills to standardized and variable situations, in alignment with set policies and practices

Other Requirements:

  • Valid driver's license, appropriate insurance and reliable car
  • Must submit to and pass a pre-employment drug test
  • Must submit to and pass random drug tests during employment
  • Must successfully pass all background screens as required by the state
  • Must be 21 years of age or older
