Program Director

As Program Director - Foster Care & Adoption, your role goes beyond supervising and motivating. This position directly supervises staff. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with Arrow Child & Family Ministries policies, State and Federal laws and policy and procedures. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance including coaching and future performance development; managers training needs through learning management system; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Maintain quality improvement goals and address at regularly scheduled staff meetings. Oversee Client delivery and insure performance measurements and outcomes are met.


The Program Director shall at minimum possess a Masters degree in a Health or Human Services field and maintain a current licensure (LMSW or LPC) and Child Placing Management Staff status according to DPFS standards is required. The Program Director will have three years experience in a director role in foster care programming and coordination of services.


Ability to read, analyze, and interpret professional journals and general business periodicals. Ability to write reports, presentations and business correspondence. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of clergy, parishioners, managers, clients, customers, and the general public.


Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.


Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.


  • Valid driver's license
  • Proof of current Auto Registration, Inspection and Insurance
  • Driving Record (three years) from the state in which the driver's license is valid
  • Must submit to and pass a pre-employment drug test.
  • Must submit to and pass random drug tests during employment. 
  • Must successfully pass all background screens as required by the state.
  • Must be 21 years of age or older. 
  • May be required to drive ACFM vehicles, be insurable with our auto insurance provider, and complete Arrow's vehicle training.
