ABA Instructor – Classroom Aide

As an ABA Instructor / Classroom Aide in our nonpublic separate day school for students with autism, you'll be a vital part of a classroom team that is transforming the lives of students in grades 3 – 12 who need intensive individualized academic and behavioral services utilizing Applied Behavioral Analysis. Our 1:1 student-to-staff ratio allows you make a positive and effective impact on individual students as you provide direct instruction under the guidance of our special educators, support students during group and community based instruction and implement individualized student behavior intervention plans and protocols. Your desire to help special needs students, and your passion for excellence, will help your students succeed in reaching their full potential.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

  • Valid driver's license, appropriate insurance and reliable car.
  • Must submit to and pass a pre-employment drug test.
  • Must submit to and pass random drug tests during employment. 
  • Must successfully pass all background screens as required by the state.
  • Must receive a minimum of 30 hours of initial and annual training.
  • Must be 21 years of age or older.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee may have occasional contact with cleaning solvents, aromatics and nuisance dusts. Some locations may require PCM (Professional Crisis Management) Training.

  • Occasionally required to lift/carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Occasionally required to push/pull up to 50 lbs.
  • Occasionally required to climb stairs
  • Occasionally required to bend, stoop, crouch or required to stand from a kneeling position, with both knees down, 5 times in one minute
  • Frequently required to operate a motor vehicle
