Psychiatric Rehabilitation Program Worker

The PRP Worker is responsible for the direct provision of rehabilitation and support services to participating consumers. PRP Workers visit consumers in their homes and communities, and provide services in the home, community, or program site.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING

    • Conduct regularly scheduled consumer visits.
    • Provide identified PRP rehabilitation and support services in accordance with the consumer's Individual Rehabilitation Plan (IRP).
    • Conduct Rehabilitation groups and activities to address rehabilitation and support service needs.
    • Maintain required and consistent documentation for each client, including contact/progress notes, monthly summaries, and quarterly reviews.
    • Participate in ongoing trainings and supervisions.
    • Shares/transmits the mission and vision of Arrow Child & Family Ministries to staff and to clients and families served.
    • Maintain a manageable caseload to insure outcomes and practice requirements are met while taking into consideration the level of care of clients served.
    • May be required to drive ACFM vehicles, be insurable with our auto insurance provider, and complete Arrow's vehicle training.
    • Perform all duties within contract, state and federal regulations, Arrow policy, and COA standards.

Education, Licensure and/or Experience

An Associate's Degree or equivalent college credits from a four-year college, in social work, psychology, mental health or another related human services field. At least one (1) year of previous experience working with youth in a mental health setting.

Language Skills

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with superiors, colleagues, and individuals inside and outside the ministry.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to apply basic mathematical concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical solutions.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one or two-step instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with occasional variables.

Other Requirements

  • Valid driver's license
  • Proof of current Auto Registration, Inspection and Insurance
  • Driving Record (three years) from the state in which the driver's license is valid
  • Must submit to and pass a pre-employment drug test.
  • Must submit to and pass random drug tests during employment. 
  • Must successfully pass all background screens as required by the state.
  • Must be 21 years of age or older.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee may have occasional contact with cleaning solvents, aromatics and nuisance dusts.

Other physical requirements specific to this job: Occasionally required to lift/carry up to 50 lbs. Occasionally required to push/pull up to 50 lbs. Occasionally required to climb stairs. Occasionally required to bend and/or stoop. Occasionally required to kneel and/or crouch.
